dc.description.abstractThe research was basically done to identify the level of public awareness and participation in physical planning projects and find possible solutions of increasing public awareness and participation in such projects in Uganda taking Katale village in Wandegeya parish as a case study. Solutions provided were as a result of the investigation made into the current status of public awareness and participation and identified loopholes. Chapter one comprises of the introduction to the research which is categorized into introduction and background information to the topic and the site of study, statement of the problem, objectives, research questions, scope, significance and the justification of the study. Chapter two has a composition of the literature review. The literature gives a view about public awareness and participation in physical planning projects according to the already available information from other researchers. Chapter three contains the methodology employed in the data collection about the topic of study and the research design. This includes also the sample size, data collection methods, analysis and ethical issues. It also contains the challenges faced by the researcher. Chapter four comprises of the research findings as based on the objectives of the study through data analysis. Chapter five provides for the conclusions and recommendations derived by the researcher basing on the findings identified.en_US
