dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between marital conflict, social support and depression among married university students. A correlation research design using quantitative approach was used and the study used primary data which was obtained by administering questionnaires to 200 married students in different universities. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS. The demographic data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics by generating tables of frequencies. The Pearson’s correlation was used as the test during the research study. The study found that there is a relationship between marital conflict and social support; the study also found that there is no relationship between social support and depression, there is no relationship between marital conflict and depression and lastly the study found that social support does not have an effect on depression among married university students. This study recommends more attention needs to be given on tackling marital conflict among married university students. This is because there is a significant relationship between marital conflict and social support which implies that an increase in marital conflict leads to an increase in social support.en_US
