    The relationship between drug abuse, self-esteem and depression among young adults in Uganda

    Abstract
    Thestudy examined the relationship between Drug abuse, self-esteem and Depression among young adults in Uganda. It was guided by the following objectives.To establish the relationship between self-esteem and depression. The study adopted the correlation study design which was used to collect data with the self-administered questionnaires. The researcher sampled 100 respondents selected from the study area. Data was analyzed using SPSS and Pearson correlation coefficients were used to test the hypothesis.The first finding showed that there is as a positive statistical significant relationship between drug abuse and self esteem among young adults.The second finding showed that there was no significant relationship between self-esteem and depression among young adults.The third correlation results showed that there was a significantly relationship between drug abuse and depression among young adults.
