dc.description.abstractMost adolescents in Uganda engage in delinquent behavior. This study sought to examine the relationship between social support, parenting styles and delinquency among adolescents. A correlational study design that is quantitative and descriptive in nature was used in the study. A sample of 75 adolescents both male and female, aged between 12-19 years was selected by use of simple random sampling strategy. Results were analyzed by use of statistical package for social scientists(SPSS, Version 23). Results indicated that there is a significant relationship between social support and parenting styles among adolescents; the study also found that there is a significant relationship between parenting styles and delinquency among adolescents. Additionally,results also revealed a significant relationship between social support and delinquency among school going adolescents.en_US
