Data traffic demands in cellular networks today are increasing at an exponential rate, giving rise to the development of heterogeneous networks (HetNet), in which small cells complement traditional macro cells both in capacity and coverage. However, the deployment of small cells as parts of HetNet creates a key challenge for operators, “finding locations for the equipment (UAV – BS) that varies both in the horizontal and vertical plane while following the traffic demands.” The simulations indicate that the proposed algorithm out performs the dense non optimized HetNet with overall coverage probability increased.en_US
