Abstract

The Online Hotel Reservation System is an electronically driven system that will enable travelers to book hotel from anywhere in the world at their convenience. This is prompted by the fact that the cost of booking a hotel accommodation is becoming increasingly high with low information of where one can get a good hotel. The main objective in this study is to design a website that is user friendly has a secured payment system and can provide information to customers on where to get hotels and at a good price. An Online Hotel Booking System provides people all Over the world with an easy and fast way to book hotel rooms online. The interface of the Online Hotel Booking System is Web pages that can be accessed with a Web site browser. The system is implemented in PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) and HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). Users can perform room booking activities at a Hotel anytime and anywhere by accessing it via Internet. The Online Hotel Booking System is an easy-to-use application. Everyone who knows how to use a Web browser can easily carry out booking, change the booking details, cancel the booking, change the personal profile, view the booking history, or view the hotel information by following its simple and clear GUI (Graphical user interface) design. The computerized Hotel Reservation and Billing System is used online by potential clients and hotel administrators. Clients use it to identify and make book rooms well as hotel administrators use it to avail rooms, view bookings in order to take appropriate action and decisions. The computerized Hotel Reservation and Billing System will save clients from physically reaching out to hotels to make bookings and also will make hotel management and decision making in regards to reservation less tedious and timely
