dc.description.abstractTenants with Unregistered interests on Mailo land face a number of challenges such as boundary conflicts, forceful evictions, limited access to credit facilities, tenure insecurity among others. In response to the specific problems of tenure insecurity and other problems faced by bibanja owners when carrying out property developments. Buganda Land Board (BLB) ran amass land registration and titling campaigns between 2015 and 2018. The aim of this research was to examine how the unregistered interests on mailo land affect real estate development in Busega Parish, Kampala district of Uganda. Two main techniques were used to collect data interviews with some key stakeholders and administering questionnaires with both open and closed ended questions. The Quantitative data was organized and transformed for analysis and interpretation using SPSS software while the qualitative data using narrative analysis. The final data was presented inform of tables figures, quote and explanation that were provided by the participants.en_US
