Climate in Uganda is a major environmental concern that has affected the key economic sectors of agriculture, water resources, fisheries, tourism and forestry. In a bid to address the concern of climate change, have most recently adopted the Paris Agreement of 2015. The Paris Agreement that calls upon signatories to make, communicate and implement Nationally Determined Contributions that reflect what the country intends to do to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change. This study examines the legal framework frame work for implementation of NDCs. It examines the domestication of NDCs in Uganda as seen in the policies and legislation. The study exposes the gaps and challenges in the implementation of NDCs.
