This dissertation examines the significant impact of television gossip shows on promoting Uganda’s creative industry. By examining case studies from NBS Television and interviews with industry professionals, this study highlights the successes and challenges within Uganda's music sector. Key findings indicate that television gossip shows have played a vital role in providing a platform for local talent and content, promoting Ugandan culture, and supporting the economic growth of the music industry. Collaborations between television stations and local artists have fostered a nurturing environment, driving the success of creative endeavors. As Uganda's music industry continues to evolve, television can serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth, cultural preservation, and global recognition. In conclusion, this dissertation provides valuable insights into the role of television celebrity gossip shows in shaping Uganda's creative landscape of music and offers recommendations for optimizing its potential in the future.
