Factors influencing social media addiction among university students
Abstract
The document consists of five chapters; the first chapter contains the background of the study, hypothesis, objectives, and significance of the study. The second chapter consists of the literature review of the factors influencing social media addiction among university students. The third chapter contains the methodology of the study, data analysis and interpretation of the study conclusion and recommendation. The main objectives of the study were to find out the factors influencing social media addiction among university students. The specific objectives of the study include;
1. Finding out the relationship between place of residence and social media addiction.
2. The relationship between numbers of years spent using social media and social media addiction,
3. The relationship between age of the respondent and social media addiction.
Stratified random sampling was used to obtain a sample of 107 respondents from the population. The study found out that the place of residence and number of years spent using social media had a significant relationship with social media addiction.
