Abstract
This research was about the assessment of the challenges of single motherhood in Kireka parish Nakaloke Sub County, Mbale district. The study began with the background information, statement of the problem, purpose of the study, general and specific objectives, justification, significance, and conceptual frame work. Literature was reviewed using the specific objectives with information from different authors. The researcher then proceeded onto the methodology consisting of study population, sample size determination, selection procedures, data collection methods, instruments, ethical issues, data processing, analysis through Social Package of Social Scientists, and limitations of the study. Presentation, analysis and interpretation of data was also done while concluding with discussion of findings, summary, conclusion as well as recommendations of the study.
