Irony in selected Teso folktales

Abstract

This research was mainly carried out to investigate and show how the literacy aspect of different types of irony is manifested in Teso folktales and the different devices that aid to bring out the Irony in Teso Folktales such as satire, sacarcism etc

The result of this research show that Irony can be traced out in a number of Teso Folktales as analysed in my data analysis as vivid that a number of literacy devices helped in portraying the Irony.

It was therefore the purpose of this project to bring out the aspect of Irony in the different selected Teso folktales.
