Design and construction of a bean thresher.

Abstract

This report contains information on the designing, fabrication and experimental investigation on the operation of bean thresher machine for common beans mainly. The detailed parameters of various machine components were obtained and their respective and appropriate engineering materials were selected. A working drawing, detailing the machine components was done for the shop floor fabrication of the machine. A description of these components is also provided for each part and its use towards the achievement of the desired goal. Also as a perquisite to my mechanical engineering course, the report will contribute towards my academic qualification, and will also serve as a reference booklet for any interested individual in designing and construction of a bean thresher machine and for all the students undertaking bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at all levels since it involves all the information necessary to produce the machine
