    Utilization of social media in promoting library services of Kyambogo University

    Abstract
    The project was based on the topic utilization of social media in promoting library services of Kyambogo University Library. The aim of the study was majorly to recommend strategies of improving the use of social media in promoting library services. It was carried out under these objectives; to identify the social media platforms used by Kyambogo University students tin promoting library services, to establish the factors affecting the utilization of social media use in promoting library services at Kyambogo University Llibrary, to recommend strategies for improving the utilization of social media in promoting library services at Kyambogo University Library The study was purely qualitative and it was noted that descriptive methods were mainly used. Questionnaires, documentary review and interviews were the major sources of primary data and these were structured. It was further noted that the findings were presented in tables and these were expressed in frequencies and percentages. Interpretation was done and discussions were based on the stated objectives of the study as therein. In conclusion, Kyambogo University Library is a growing library and there is need for strategies for the improvement of utilization of social media in promoting library services so in this regard the recommended strategies will be efficient in promoting maximum usage of social media.
