    Abstract
    The primary aim for this report was to design and construct a mobile water sprinkler for a farm. The project included selecting appropriate wheels for the sprinkler, sizing and selection of geared motor that can the system, and finally sizing the solar system that can power the motor. This report contains the introduction in chapter one with a brief history about Uganda’s irrigation practices, general and specific objectives of the project towards its completion, justification, scope and expected output of the project. The report also contains the comprehensive literature review in chapter two about irrigation practices and water sources in Uganda, the different types of irrigation systems applied by farmers and lastly the different pressurized irrigation techniques which were used as benchmark for the project. The methods and activities that were carried out during the project period in chapter three. These included methodology, literature review, data analysis and different project preliminary designs. In chapter four contains the detailed project design, analysis of results and the estimated project cost/ budget that were met during the project. Lastly are the project recommendations and conclusions for further studies about the project.
