    Abstract
    The project is basically about design and implementation of fault detection and protection of three phase induction motor using microcontroller via developed mobile phone application to enable the operation of induction motor continuously with minimum human interaction. In this project motor faults like over/under voltage, overloading, unbalanced voltage, over/under current are detected and motor switch off automatically to prevent any other damage and after clearance of the fault the motor starts automatically. All monitoring of the motor parameters is done on the developed mobile application.
