And specific objectives were to examine existing parking facilities in the area, to examine adequacy of parking spaces in the CBD, to identify challenges facing parking management in the area, to suggest recommendations to solve parking challenges in the CBD. The study engaged explanatory design and other approaches both qualitative and quantitative to achieve findings through use of different tools during data collection such as observation, interviews, questionnaires and photography, Data collection and analysis and the literature review, in addition the data was collected from primary and secondary sources. The research reveals that parking spaces in the CBD are not sufficient, the existing parking spaces are not secure, and the private sector is the major provider of secure parking facilities in the CBD.
