    Abstract
This is a project named designing an Automated Records Capturing System for Admission Records at Makerere College School. It is based on the fact that, there have been cases of missing admission documents for students whose files are to be updated in case of students’ achievements, cases, and disciplinary actions. The main aim of the study was to find out the records capturing techniques used by Makerere College School and designing a suitable system for capturing admission records at Makerere College School. The researchers used a case study research design to conduct this research where a single unit was chosen for this study because it provided a framework for interpreting the variables of the study. The study population included two members of staff who were knowledgeable in our area of interest. To gather information, the following research tools were used: an observation guide, and an interview guide. The results indicated that; there were limited skilled personnel, limited funds to facilitate the activity, lack of legislation or policy, inadequate technology infrastructures, lack of a specific system for capturing records. The project recommends that the school should increase in the funds, adaptation of a records capturing policy, training of staff, recruitment of professional and skilled personnel with qualifications and designing of a records capturing system for admission records at Makerere College School.
