Occupational stress, employee commitment and job performance among lecturers of College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University
Abstract
The major purpose of the study was to assess the relationship between occupational stress, employee commitment and job performance. The specific objectives of the study were to determine the relationship between occupational stress and employee commitment of employees, to ascertain the relationship between occupational stress and job performance of employees and finally to establish the relationship between employee commitment an d job performance of employees A Correlational study design was used in the study to establish the relationship between occupational stress, employee commitment and job performance among the lecturers of College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS). T he College faces a problem of some workers not showing commitment to their work because of different issues they face at the College. The study, that was held at CHUSS, investigated the various factors which boost commitment among employees.
