Product Differentiation and Production Management.
Abstract
This is a research project aimed at clarifying the areas of improvement in the process stages of manufacture for a company that offers multiple products to customers. Increasing the output of production management involves combining a series of decision making activities that result in the provision of desired goods to customers in the right quantity, quality and time such that there is little to no loss in left over goods and that the market opportunity is fully utilized. However, the effect of having several products offered by a production company on their processes and ultimately their production output is unclear. This research effort comes in to bridge this gap with information for vital decision making at the management level.
