Abstract

The researcher drew on fashioning passion fruit flower as a source of inspiration to come up with a fashionable dress. Passion fruit flowers are a striking flower with a prominent central structural designed to attract pollinating insects. The fruit are small and around with tough rind that is smooth and waxy. The color of the rind ranges from purple to yellow and orange. There are two main passion fruit varieties. Pass flora edulis f.Flavicarpa is the golden passion fruit, also called tropical passion fruit. Especially the research is going to dal with the purple color as a source of inspiration to come up with a fashionable dress. This research demonstrated how a passionfruit flower is fashioned onto dresses.Forexample the wedding changing dresses, these are mainly glittering and shiny.The researcher came up with passion fruit flowered changing dresses. How the research was done basically argues the materials, methods and techniques done to come up with a fashionable dress. These included fabric, stitching and a sewing machine, threads and scissors. The method being qualitative .Measurements are to be taken then pieces of fabric sewed together to formulate a fashionable dress. This research of fashioning passion fruit flower as a source of inspiration to come up with a fashionable dress, which was wedding changing dress. This field research carried out at Dr.Amandas Academic Garden in Makerere University.
