    This study re examine the importance of the jam session to practical training for the students of performing arts and film (PAF) and the focus was paid to Makerere university at the department of performing arts and film where the jam session happened. The student re examine the extent to which the jam session was important to PAF students, challenges it faced, reasons why it endedandstrategieshowitcanbebroughtbacktopracticaltrainingforthestudentsofPAF.
