Abstract
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: To identify the different images used in Runyankole giveaway songs. To examine the effectiveness of imagery in Runyankole giveaway songs.
Conclusions:
The researcher clearly shows and illustrates that imagery used as a literary technique has been by far effective in songs. None of the songs analyzed misses out an imagery element. The effectiveness is also achieved through aligning the imagery elements in a proper way. In every song, for example the visual imagery elements, something that science asserts contributed to perception understanding by 83%.
