    Abstract
    SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY: The research aims at finding out the effectiveness of songs used in the performance of Runyankole Folktales and viewing whether they are still used in our contemporary society to guide the young generation in paying attention to learn the moral lessons that are always in the Folktales. The outcome of this research should be able to help the current generation to differentiate the songs used in Runyankole folktales so as to emulate culture in Ankole area.
