    Abstract
In this research I am focusing on visual, auditory and gustatory imagery and how they are used in enriching meaning and developing themes in the Ganda folktales. The intention of my research is to come up with a literary piece whose meaning is clearly stated and can be easily comprehended by the readers. The use of imagery in my research is not only to communicate the intended message to the audience but also to reveal how language through use of imagery can be used to portray the main ideas and themes in the Ganda folktales.
