dc.description.abstract | The major aim of this project is to study the cooling of the thermal energy storage tank but we shall also analyse the heat transfer behavior during the cooling of a thermal energy storage system after constructing a thermal energy storage tank.
We shall use materials like thermocouples, a pico data logger, a storage tank, thermia B and a computer to display and store our obtained data.
The data obtained during the cooling or discharge of the thermal energy storage tank is plotted using Excel and the cooling graphs studied. On observation, we see that there is a gradual decrease in the temperature of the tank vertically and across the tank and this shows that power from the hot point to the cooler points goes on reducing. | en_US |
