Effects of gender, Job security and Mental Health among Healthcare workers: A Case study of healthcare workers at Novik Hospital, Kampala
Abstract
The study focused to prove the relationship between job insecurity and mental health among workers during the Covid 19 period. The research study involved gathering of data from 184 samples and they were all teachers. Furthermore, the study was carried out using questionnaire items in a correlational survey design to find out the relationship between the variables.
A bivariate correlation showed a positive correlation between job insecurity and mental health. The respondents scored highly on the scale of job insecurity. Therefore, the study concluded that the levels of job insecurity were high among workers during Covid19. On the hand the levels of mental health during Covid19 according to the data collected and analyzed we’re high.
Therefore, the research study recommended that employees should mind to seek mental stability sessions to assist them maintain their mental stability during and even before job security fears that they could get exposed to.
