The effects of organizational culture on employee motivation at Mulago Specialized Women and Neonatal Hospital.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was find out the effects of organizational culture on employee motivation of Mulago specialized women and neonatal hospital. The intended to achieve the following objectives, to examine the levels of organizational culture among employees of Mulago specialized women and neonatal hospital, to determine the levels of motivation among employees of mulago specialized women and neonatal hospital and finally to ascertain the relationship between organizational culture and employee motivation among employees of Mulago specialized women and neonatal hospital. A correlational study design was used in the study to establish the relationship between organizational culture and employee motivation among employees of Mulago specialized women and neonatal hospital. The study used a sample of 40 respondents who were adopted to simple random sampling technique. Data was therefore be collected using self-administered questionnaire and later analysed using statistical package for social scientists version 23(SPSS). Pearson corelation coefficient (r) was used to test the hypothesis. The levels of organizational culture to be relatively high. Results revealed high levels of motivation. Findings also revealed that there is a negative non-significant relationship between organizational culture (r= -.070, p>0.05). A good and proper work culture should be implement to support employees than solely focusing on obtaining big produces and profits and employee needs should be addressed with urgency and great importance.
