    Abstract
    Roads are usually reconstructed or improved with the mind of resolving challenges that come with it begin in a poor state such as road safety problems. This research aimed at assessing the effect improvement of road furniture on road networks had on the road accidents using Geographical Information System (GIS) and Chi square test. This research integrates of road network data with data on accidents and the different road furniture that have been put in place to generate summary accident statistics allowing for before and after comparison.
