Job insecurity, job satisfaction and mental health among secondary school teachers during covid 19
Abstract
The study sought to investigate the relationship between job insecurity job satisfaction and mental health of secondary school teachers in Kampala district during Covid 19. This study involved collection of data from 110 respondents who were all teachers Furthermore, the study was carried out using descriptive and correlational survey design to find out the relationship between the variables The Pearson correlation coefficient revealed a negative correlation between Job insecurity and job satisfactions, a positive correlation between job satisfaction and mental health and a positive correlation between job insecurity and mental health respondents also scored highly on the scale of job satisfaction Therefore, the research recommended that the ministry of education and sports in Uganda should create mental health awareness in schools
