Motivation, job satisfaction and turnover intentions among the employees of Joint Clinical Research Centre at Lubowa, Wakiso district
Abstract
The study aimed at examining the relationship between motivation, job satisfaction and turover intentions among the employees of Joint Clinical Research Centre Headquarters. The study adopted a correlational research design. Simple random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 44 respondents from a population of 50 employees using the Krejcie and Morgan sample determination table. Data was collected from respondents using self- administered standard questionnaires which were entered and filled into a computer software called Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and there after data was analysed. Results from Pearson correlation coefficient indicated that there was a significant relationship between motivation and job satisfaction; there was a significant relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intentions. There was a significant relationship between motivation and turnover intentions. It is recommended that the Huaman resource department of Joint Clinical Research Centre should engage with its employees at all levels in order to increase the level of job satisfaction among its employees which will also reduce turnover intentions among employees
