Impacts of sources of stress on coping styles among health care workers of the Cancer Institute, Mulago Hospital
Abstract
The study sought to investigate the relationship between Sources of stress and coping style among healthcare workers at Mulago hospital.
The study was carried out using descriptive and correlational survey design to find out the relationship between the variables
A bivariate correlation produced statistics showing that there was no significant relationship between Sources of stress and coping styles. The respondents also scored low on the scale of sources of stress. Therefore, the study concluded that the perception of sources of stress are low among health workers of Mulago hospital.
Therefore, the research recommended that the concerned authorities encompassing the Ministry of Health should develop strategies that are compounded with regular training and avail Bolstering information on updated and effective coping styles among healthcare workers.
