    Abstract
    This study focuses on the language employed in the riddles. Despite the fact that Kiganda riddles are one of the most abundant existing in various forms of literature, an in depth analysis and critique of these riddles has not been popularized. This study was carried out to explore the effectiveness of language devices in the selected Ganda riddles.
