    Abstract
    This document is a report for a final year project titled, Design And Simulation Of a Vortex Hydro Turbine. The document has an introduction, literature review and methodology. The introduction covers the background, problem statement, project objectives, the project scope and justification. On the other hand the literature review covers different theories of the vortex hydro turbines such as blade shapes, basin size and height, vortex formation methods, existing turbines and requirements for effective turbine performance. The methodology covers different methods and techniques that will be used in making the turbine successful. This study generally aims to develop a mini Micro Hydro Power Plant Turbine consisting of equipment design, component selection, and the MHPP assembly. A test on discharge, head, revolutions per minute (rpm), and produced power is then conducted. The report details the analytical, the numerical and the experimental analysis of the design of the design of the vortex hydro turbine, the results of the analysis, the comparison and the discussions of the analysis. Information about the projected budget and progress of the project is also included in this document.
