Alcoholism, domestic violence and Psychological well-being among adolescents in Uganda
Abstract
The study examined the relationship between alcoholism, domestic violence and psychological well-being among adolescents in Uganda. A correlation design with the survey method was used to examine the relationship between alcoholism, domestic violence and psychological well-being. A sample of 100 respondents was selected, raw data was collected, edited, coded and then analyzed using statistical package for social Sciences (SPSS V21). Data showed no significant relationship between alcoholism and psychological well-being among adolescents (r=•036, p=•723>0•05) while there was no significant relationship between domestic violence and psychological well-being among adolescents (r=•140, p=•168>0.05) and it showed a significant positive relationship between alcoholism and domestic violence among adolescents in Uganda (r= •489, p=0.00< 0.05).
