    Abstract
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) refers to a set of processes, procedures and tools of identifying potential hazards to a certain environment, developing best practices to reduce or remove those hazards and then equipping employees for accident prevention and accident response. HSE is a fundamental part of the field of electrical engineering; and hence a proper HSE system is not only desirable but also necessary for any engineering work setting. Experts note that there is lack of proper HSE management in many workplaces in Uganda and this partly accounts for the many occupational related problems that we see in our industries today. In this project, we developed a phone-based application to aid in HSE management in engineering work settings, with a case study of power plants. The application is able to send a personal protective equipment(PPE) advisory notification in proximity of a known hazard. In addition, the application comes with an emergency button feature, and offers the ability to make and share important HSE-related reports and forms in digital form. Lastly employees can be able to access important safety documents specific to the company they work for.
