    Abstract
    This document is a report for a final year project, with the Project title ‘Design of an improved photo booth for application in ID issuance’. The document has an introduction, literature review, methodology, preliminary design, detailed design, discussion, and conclusion and recommendations. The introduction covers the background, problem statement, project objectives, the project scope and justification. The literature review covers introduction to the current ID data capturing system, photo booth technology, components of a photo booth, passport photo booths. The methodology covers different methods and techniques that will be used in meeting the specific objectives. The preliminary design covers the customer needs analysis, target specifications, concept generation and selection and product architecture. The detailed design contained functional optimization, material selection, production drawing, virtual prototype, construction and testing. The other information included is the expenses and project time frame.
