This study was aimed at establishing the effect of Covid 19 on life-long learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere University. The study was guided by three specific objectives which were to examine the effect of Covid-19 on formal lifelong learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere University, to find out the effect of Covid-19 on informal lifelong learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere University and to establish the effect of Covid 19 on lifelong learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere University. Regarding the effect of Covid-19 on formal lifelong learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere University, the study found out that Covid-19 had a positive effect on formal lifelong learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere university. Basing on the effect of Covid-19 on informal lifelong learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere University, the study found out that Covid 19 had a positive effect on informal lifelong of pre service teachers at Makerere university. Regarding the effect of Covid 19 on lifelong learning of pre-service teachers at Makerere University, the study found out a positive statistically significant effect of Covid 19 on lifelong learning of pre-service teachers. The recommendations are that the ministry of education should come up with blended learning programs, that is a mixture of face to face as well as online learning and also universities must have flexible learning programs that can enable the ones who missed to cover up the missing gaps.
