    Abstract
This study has explored the concept of Suspense in Luganda Folktales, and eight folktales have been categorized into groups for a clearer picture of the specified elements of suspense. I have observed, interviewed, and recorded my findings in accordance to my topic. This has been impactful as I have managed to see and experience suspense as a literary technique that most people ignore yet it’s the outmost feeling an audience gets while in the due process of a folktale narrative.
