dc.description.abstract | The way patients’ records are managed currently is lacking and this leads to poor healthcare
delivery to HIV patients in Uganda. This study took Mulago hospital as a case study in order to
investigate the current mechanisms of patient records management in order to develop a better
system. Literature was reviewed and field study was conducted order to study the existing projects
so that we can identify requirements for the developed system. The requirements were used to
design the system. In the design, process models and data models were constructed. Based on the
design, the system was implemented. The system was tested using the key users (doctors, patients)
and it was found to address the problem that was identified at the beginning of the study. This
system is significant in enabling management of HIV patients records. | en_US |
