Abstract

Folksongs among the Bamasaba have been and will still be the most powerful oral literally tool used by the Bamasaba people in their daily speech and they have kept the cultural heritage, morals and their significance cannot be over or under looked. Lumasaba folksongs present a Mumasaba man as a respectful and respected person in community very strong thus the importance of identifying the place and function of symbolism in the circumcision, praise and caution songs, surveys on different people, groups and elders around Bugisu is to be done to basically analyses the topic and observation of songs being performed and used thus printing and providing the necessary information.
