    Abstract
This research was done to determine the effect of reaction conditions on the yield of magnetite nanoparticles using the chemical coprecipitation method. The drying was done in an oven at 60 oC for an average of 30 minutes depending on the water content in the black precipitate of magnetite nanoparticles. This was achieved through experiments in which the reaction conditions were varied and the amount of yield obtained in each experiment weighed and recorded. The graphs were also plotted and the results were discussed. It was observed that the maximum yield was obtained at an average temperature of 40oC, 500rpm and reaction time 4 hours as indicated in the results section.
