Abstract
The purpose of this study was to discuss usage of trash in MTISFA in the context of art. This
thesis questions the use of plastics in sculpture as an environmental measure discarded items,
through the approaches and methods of artists who use discarded materials in their works in
MTISFA. It examines why and how artists can use discarded materials and how artworks can be
understood regarding theoretical and cultural aspects. This study is supported by theoretical and
philosophical ideas about garbage.
Within this framework, this research project argues that it is possible to see the process of
transforming trash as an artistic sculpture art work. In the scope of the project, discarded bottles,
bottle tops are collected and transformed into sculptures.
This research was also about sculptural works, by using plastic to communicate the magnitude of
plastic polluting the environment. This research is aimed at capturing the attention of other artists
that can come up with different art projects that can utilize some plastic as an art material. This
research also shows how easily plastic can be recycled making some tools like plastic pallets,
plastic pallet knives for painters. Hence reducing some expanses on suchtools in turn helping the
environment in reducing pollution with plastics
