Abstract

This study was on the Portrayal of Woman in Wanyankole Society and Woman in Hostile Novel Kilimani. The woman is seen as playing many roles depending on cultural setting. She plays the role of a wife when she has reached adulthood and gotten married; mother after giving birth and grandma after having grandchildren; names that earn her a lot of respect according to the African tradition.
