Abstract
The aim of this report is to examine the nature of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) and its potential to contribute to peace and security, specifically the report examines the structure of EASF, its organisation, the nature of the conflicts and security challenges in Great Lakes Region, and prospects it presents to the EASF.
