Management and preservation of historical monuments for promotion of tourism in Kampala city

Abstract

Monuments (historical monuments) are fixed assets that are of public interest, identifiable because of particular historic, national, regional, local, religious or symbolic significance and usually accessible to the general public. The study was undertaken in Kampala City in September abd October 2022. The overall objective of the study was to increase knowledge about historical monuments and heighten their values and appreciation as tourist attractions to promote city tourism in Kampala.
