    Abstract
Solar energy is clean, environmental friendly and readily available source of energy during sunny days. Solar energy has various uses for example production of thermal energy as well as electrical energy. Though it is not the only form of energy that man solely depends on, other sources like fossils, water bodies that is used to run turbines that produce electricity can at one point reduce hence affecting human activities that rely on energy to operate one of which is cooking food. Hence there is need to dig more ways of tapping this form of energy called Solar energy that am to discuss in this handbook focusing mostly on one application called solar box cookers.
