dc.description.abstract | The study intended to find out the impact of physical activity on employee task performance. I used a cross sectional research design which allowed me to collect data on the two variables in the study. Quantitative data was collected, sorted, classified and entered into the computer for analysis using the statistical package for social scientists (SPSS). Findings indicated that the majority of respondents were male (54.1%) were as the females were (45.9%). Most of the respondents were between ages (35-30) and most of the employees had acquired bachelor degree level of education (63.3%). From the findings, the biggest number of respondents were middle level management and made up (31.1%) of the sample. The study results showed that there is no significant relationship between physical activity and task performance which meant that employee’s level of physical activity does not impact employee task performance. The researcher recommends future researchers to indulge in a longitudinal study on the effect of physical activity on task performance. However much the findings show that there is no relationship between physical activity and task performance organizations should put in place fitness interventions for the sake of employee wellbeing and health | en_US |
