Peace and conflict resolution in selected Luganda proverbs

Abstract

This research project is an exploration of the role of Luganda proverbs in promoting peace and resolving conflicts within the Luganda-speaking community. Luganda is a Bantu language widely spoken in Uganda, particularly in the central region. Proverbs, as concise expressions of traditional wisdom, play a significant role in shaping cultural values, beliefs, and societal norms. However, there is limited scholarly research on the specific use of Luganda proverbs for peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
