dc.description.abstract | The research talked about the popularization of the use of recyclable materials in the jewelry making industry around Kampala. This research aimed at raising awareness, propose strategies and make known the ways of using all the recyclable materials like tins, paper, metals and glasses to come up with new ideas of making jewelry. The research also aimed at revealing possibilities of the variety of recyclable materials that, and also the ways in which they can be used as a jewelry designer. This research also looked at new innovations of creative ways of making with jewelry without using copper wires, gold, silver and the other most commonly used materials. In chapter one, the research covered the history and background of jewelry making around the world, Africa, Uganda and then narrowed down to Kampala. The popularization of jewelry made from recyclable materials was also discussed in this research. Then Chapter two covered the literature review on the issues at hand of the popularization of recyclable materials and chapter three covered the methodology and later chapter four had the presentation of findings and then chapter five had analysis, interpretation and the discussion of the findings, then the recommendation and the conclusion. | en_US |
